Schréder Upgrades Public Lighting in Valencia, Spain for a More Sustainable and Environmentally-Friendly City

Smart lighting enables the city of Valencia to save energy, improve the quality of life for its citizens and protect nature

Schréder has completed a major connected public lighting installation in the city of Valencia, Spain, by upgrading over 20,000 street lights and enabling remote management of the luminaires through its smart city platform Schréder EXEDRA, using Microsoft Azure Cloud services.

This upgrade has enabled the city of Valencia to reduce its energy consumption by over 75 percent, thus reducing operating and energy-related costs by more than €6 million per year, and reducing greenhouse emissions by 80 percent.
