Codit's connected car

participating in The Barrel Challenge

Find out how our Nebulus IoT Gateway is integrated in a classic Ford Escort car and follow the adventures of Michel Pauwels, Jef Cools en Robert Maes through Europe.

The Challenge

Three of our colleagues had the crazy idea to participate in The Barrel Challenge, a six-day trip through Europe in a classic car. The Barrel Challenge unites approximately 250 classic cars, that will leave for a rally over more than 3000 km. They will traverse steep hills and mountain passes, facing cold and other unexpected weather conditions.

The Challenge starts on Sunday January 28th, 7:30 PM in The Netherlands. During following days, the teams will head for the Alps over Germany, Italy and Slovenia to end in Austria on February 2nd

Nebulus connected

We wouldn't be Codit if we didn't equip the car with various sensors and connect these to our Nebulus IoT Gateway. Please follow our Barrel team and witness how we can connect any device, sensor or thing to the cloud instantly - no matter its age or location - without any concessions on security, performance or flexibility. Because we believe that ‘Connecting is Everything’.

The installed sensors will collect data on noise, temperature, speed, humidity and location.

Thanks to the sensors and Nebulus IoT Gateway implemented in our Barrel, all data is easy visible in real-time in the Azure cloud.
