Baloise Insurance wanted to add a security layer to their Microsoft BizTalk Server based ESB, which is the backbone of their IT infrastructure.
Codit implemented the Nevatech Sentinet™ platform, a software middleware infrastructure that manages the security and access rules towards services on different platforms, exposed through a BizTalk ESB service layer. It manages heterogeneous SOA and API services and applications.
It was the very first delivery of API Management as a Service that went live. The implemented API Management platform is a critical piece of infrastructure with high availability requirements. It has to be high available and able to process high volumes.
Additionally, Baloise Insurance has been relying on Codit Managed Services for the monitoring and management of their BizTalk Server integration environment since 2010, and since 2014 for the API Management layer. With insurance brokers accessing the services constantly, Managed Services is always on top.
Thanks to API Management, Baloise Insurance is now capable of reaching out to new markets and has the power to go to market quickly with new partners and extend joint offerings.
