Connect, monitor and control millions of IoT assets

  • Establish bi-directional communication with millions of IoT devices
    Rely on Azure IoT Hub to easily and securely connect your IoT assets. Use device-to-cloud telemetry in order to understand the state of your assets and devices.  Give commands or deliver notifications to your devices by sending cloud-to-device messages.

  • Work with familiar platforms and protocols
    Connect existing or add new devices by using open-source device SDKs for various platforms. Use standard and custom protocols such as HTTP, AMQP and MQTT.
  • Authenticate per device for security-enhanced IoT solutions
    Set up individual identities and credentials for each of your connected devices in order to get confidentiality of both cloud-to-device and device-to-cloud messages.  Selectively revoke access rights for specific devices to maintain the integrity of your IoT solution.

    Use Azure Steam Analytics for your IoT scenarios in which you want a low-cost solution to gain real-time insights from devices, sensors, infrastructure and applications.

Cloud-scale telemetry ingestion from websites, apps and devices

  • Stream millions of event per second
    Azure Event Hubs is a highly scalable publish-subscribe service that can ingest millions of events per second and stream them into multiple applications. This lets you process and analyze the massive amounts of data produced by your connected devices and applications. Once Event Hubs has collected the data, it will transform and store it by using any real-time analytics provider or with batching/storage adapters.

  • Process events with variable load profiles
    Big data defines today’s connected world. Big data originates from many sources with variable load profiles. There are devices that produce telemetry data every few minutes or even every second and there are mobile apps that capture telemetry for every user’s individual action. Event Hubs is a managed service that ingests events with elastic scale to accommodate these variable load profiles and the spikes caused by intermittent connectivity.

  • Connect millions of devices across platforms
    Event Hubs meets the challenge of connecting disparate data sources while handling the scale of the aggregate stream. It lets you easily provision capacity to process events from millions of devices while preserving event order on a per-device basis. Support for AMQP and HTTP allow many platforms to work with Event Hubs.
