Codit Connect is for leaders and decision makers of organizations interested in becoming data-driven businesses. In other words, organizations wanting to make data work for them by connecting, gathering, storing, integrating and analyzing data, and turning it into information.
Why attend?
The leading idea for Codit Connect 2022 is ‘Making data work for you’. Many organizations gather huge amounts of data. This data comes from partners, suppliers, applications, ‘things’ (IoT) and many other sources. The question is: how to make all of that data work for you?
Some just want to transform and store data. Others are interested in sharing their data with other parties, to improve productivity or offer better customer service, in safe and effective ways. Yet others seek to learn from their data, enabling them to make informed management decisions and even predict events before they occur.
As a well-known specialist in the field, Codit is hosting Connect 2022 to inspire you. Your peers and industry experts will share insights into how they work with data. You will explore ideas on the use of data for practical business purposes with enablers such as Integration, the API Centricity, IoT and Analytics.
Due to the interactive nature of the event, the number of attendees is limited.

Welcome Lunch
Serge Verborgh
General Manager, Codit Belgium
Welcome
Hans Constandt
Program Manager at the Belgian Health Data Authority
Key Points for Designing the Connected Enterprise
Guest speaker Hans Constandt is a known evangelist for the open and fair use of data, he is currently supporting the Belgian authorities on the use of data for healthcare. It is Hans’ opinion that data is the basis for all digital transformation. He will provide insight into the use of data to create the ‘connected enterprise': data generation, transformation, the use of API's and data analytics.
Panel Discussion
The CIO of Azelis, Pepijn Karsmakers, and the CEO of Portima, Jan Peeters, will speak about data as the power that drives their companies forward. For many organizations, digital transformation is key to remaining relevant in their industry. The starting point is usually integration, a next step often being API's that share data. The end result is achieving a data ecosystem. Together with Codit's Operations Manager and Integration Domain Lead, Peter Borremans, and the Belgian Health Data Authority's Program Manager, Hans Constandt, we will discuss the importance of a future vision for your organization, which hurdles to take, and how technology can help you achieve your goals.
Break
Geertrui Mieke De Ketelaere
Director AI at imec (IDLab)
Thoughts on Building the Cognitive Enterprise
Guest speaker Mieke Deketelaere shares her thoughts on the use of AI and machine learning to build the cognitive enterprise. That is, an enterprise where information is presented by highly intelligent, almost human-like systems. Mieke feels that the major focus should not be on data and technology, but instead on people and processes. She helps you define high impact use cases and identify projects that will create the highest impact. You will learn how to move beyond the typical PPP (Pilot, POC & Prototype) phase while looking at some real examples and common reasons why AI projects can fail.
Panel Discussion
Together with the R&D Director of Duco, Koen Maertens, we will discuss the technical and business opportunities in this field. You will learn how to make machines think in a more human-like way and why this is relevant. Together with Codit IoT Lead Steven De Lausnay and Imec (IDLab)'s AI Director, Mieke De Ketelaere, we will discuss topics such as building successful IoT solutions and the use of data for analytics.
