Microsoft Announces Datacenter Region in Brussels

The Datacenter is part of a wider plan to accelerate the digitalization of Belgium, and will benefit Codit’s customers in many ways.

There’s exciting news for Codit Belgium, as Microsoft announces that it will be building a Datacenter region in Brussels. With the intention of putting Belgium ‘on the digital map’, Digital AmBEtion was revealed today by Microsoft Corp and Belgian Prime Minister, Alexander De Croo.

These Datacenters will give Belgium organizations across the country access to Microsoft Azure and the local data residency, cloud solutions and data security it offers.

A Belgian Azure Datacenter will allow Codit to help customers to bring workloads to the cloud through Application Modernization, and to implement Cloud Native solutions, a task previously more difficult in cases where there were restrictions on data location, latency challenges or resilience requirements. In all, we will be able to help our customers put their data to work even better.

The scheme is part of a wider investment plan to accelerate the digitalization of  Belgium, which is comprised of three pillars: world-class infrastructure, the development of national digital skills, and sustainable societal impact.
