Summer has just started, but school remains top of mind as Codit shares data intelligence knowledge in BeCode’s AI School training program.
As part of an initiative to increase the IT talent pool to align with an increasingly digitalized society, BeCode launched its artificial intelligence training program AI School in 2019, with support from Microsoft.
The courses combine in-depth technical training with hands-on projects through which students learn to manage databases and leverage AI tools. After the 7-month training course, students then move on to a 3-month practical internship. Aimed to encourage more diversity in the IT sector, the AI School broadens the path to become a data intelligence specialist with free courses to those in difficult situations.
This year, a total of 10 training courses are slated to run in 6 cities across Belgium, offering essential IT knowledge to an estimated 200 students.
Codit has joined AI School as a curriculum partner, helping to develop the courses’ content, participating in training, and providing practical experience by involving students in real-world projects. Codit has also committed to offering internships to graduates who have completed the initial training program.
“We are very proud to be a part of this commendable program,” says Serge Verborgh, General Manager Codit Belgium, “teaming up with fellow IT leaders, we’re able to use our expertise to help widen access to technology education and broaden the scope of talent for our continually growing sector.”
Stijn Degrieck, CEO Codit, adds, “At Codit, our passion is about making connections – not just for our clients but also for our community as a whole. And we’re excited about this opportunity to share our knowledge and support BeCode’s efforts to bridge the gap between individuals motivated to build data intelligence skills and the means to do so.”
