Luck Has Nothing to Do with IT
Las Vegas is known for its fun atmosphere, forward-thinking, pushing of boundaries, and, yes, a bit of gambling. With an average of about 40 million visitors each year, people flock to this city for its one-of-a-kind experience, offering the highest class in a wide range of activities, from the biggest names of entertainment, to first-rate dining, to top-grade shopping.
In our own cutting-edge-data-integration kind of way, Codit is a bit of a hot spot in our own right. OK, true, we don’t have any casinos, express wedding chapels, or 24-hour buffets, but we do strive to offer the very best. And because we go to great lengths to support our clients through excellence, our team hit the road for Microsoft Inspire – the biggest Microsoft partner event of the year – to further build on our expertise and equip our colleagues with strategic perspective into the future of integration. And apparently enjoy a few fantastic views as well.
Bright Lights, Big Ideas
Microsoft’s Inspire conference kicks off the technology giant’s fiscal year, offering event goers essential networking opportunities and an exclusive look into the company’s strategy and vision for the future. Last week, approximately 16,000 people attended this year’s edition of the event, gaining firsthand insights and (as you might guess) inspiration from keynote sessions with top Microsoft executives and CEO Satya Nadella.
Like every year, Codit was there once again with a strong delegation – 10 Codit’ers representing all 7 Codit countries. The event is key to our own company’s mission to provide top quality to our customers and helps us optimize Microsoft’s initiatives and the latest technologies in our solutions. Reinforcing our partnership with Microsoft’s Product Team and creating synergies with its vast partner channel, the Inspire conference enhances our potential to keep serving clients at the highest level.
Rocking the Stage
While Microsoft Inspire’s prime networking and innovative strategy raised our teams’ level of inspiration, the Codit’ers also enjoyed several moments of uplifting celebration during the conference. From exciting awards, to a key mention in a keynote session, to a rocking concert by the one and only Queen, the event just kept getting better and better.
Following close on the heels of Codit Switzerland’s Microsoft Country Partner of the Year Award last year, we’re proud to say that our umbrella company Proximus, including us as its subsidiary, was named the Microsoft Belux Partner of the Year. This prestigious accolade is awarded to the company who represents an example of excellence, showcasing outstanding expertise in solutions built through Microsoft technologies. It’s a true recognition of our ecosystem’s strong focus on quality and reflects our dedication to creating impact and customer success through a broad range of cloud-first value propositions, commitment to the Azure platform, and continuous investment in a transformative services portfolio. We’re honored to receive this award and thank our clients for collaborating with us on so many inspiring and challenging projects!
We also received recognition during one of the speaker sessions, where our project with customer Bühler Group was highlighted as an example on how to approach IoT projects in manufacturing and praised for its positive impact on society (FYI: read more about the IoT project with Bühler here). For us, helping our customer reach new levels of efficiency and profitability was already reward enough, but we’d be lying if we said it didn’t feel good for our expertise and customer focus to shine in the spotlight.
Basking in the glow of our own few minutes of fame, what better way to celebrate than with a private performance by some world-renowned musicians who are just a tad more famous than us? Queen wasn’t joking when they said “We Will Rock You.” True to the band’s legendary song, the iconic rock stars had the entire crowd on its feet and, after 5 days of elevating conference goers’ inspiration, concluded the event on a literal high note.
